Bicycles on Amtrak DownEaster TrainAmtrak began operation of the "Downeaster" train, which travles between Portland, Maine and Boston North Station, on 15 December 2001. Space is available for booking, either by calling Amtrak (1-800-872-7245) or on their Web site. THIS TRAIN SERVICE WILL ALSO INCLUDE BICYCLE TRANSPORT. 10 BIKE SPACES WILL BE OFFERED PER TRIP AT $5 PER BIKE. However, note that bicycles are NOT CURRENTLY handled at Exeter, Durham, & Dover!
