SABR Bike Rodeo Program

SABR and the Portsmouth Recreation Department have been collaborating since the spring of 2023 to offer free bike rodeos. These events, held at the local elementary schools on a weekend day, are designed to promote bike safety and education among children and families. Community volunteers share their knowledge at stations where participants can learn and practice essential biking skills.

The aim is to enhance cyclists' confidence, teach them about traffic rules, and provide hands-on experience in a controlled environment. Our bike rodeos cover topics such as helmet safety, proper signaling, navigating intersections, and general bike maintenance.

These events contribute to creating a safer and more informed biking community, especially for young riders.
