Bicycle Benefits is a nationwide program that encourages daily bike riding throughout the year. Participating businesses and locations provide discounts or rewards to cyclists who display a program sticker on their bike helmet upon arrival. This initiative boosts ridership, raises awareness, and guides cyclists to local businesses.
SABR volunteer Rachel Hopkins talked with Colonial Bicycle Company's Colin McKenna, who's Part Owner/General Manager of the bike shop.

Tell us about your business:
In our bike shop, we try to differentiate our services by meeting riders where they are. We offer free repair clinics, demo events, and we have community ambassadors. Our goal is to support and engage with the bike community at whatever level they are at.
What inspired you to become the manager of Colonial Bicycle?
I have known pretty much my entire life, since my first visit at 12 to a bike shop that is where I needed to be. I worked as a Trek territory manager and realized I missed the atmosphere of a bike shop. Prior to Colonial I managed a shop in Pennsylvania.
What made you decide to be a supporter of Bicycle Benefits:
It all goes back to reaching and supporting the community of bikers.
What type of discount or benefit do you offer riders with a Bicycle Benefit Sticker?
Colonial Bicycle is offering 10% off parts, accessories and apparel by presenting your Bicycle Benefit Sticker!
Favorite Seacoast bike ride?
There are a lot of great rides, but there is something magical about rolling south on 1A with the wind at your back.
Interesting facts about Colonial Bicycles:
Free weekly rides are posted on the Colonial Bicycle Strava club page here
Free Mulita coffee on Saturday mornings for customers
We offer bike fitting services
We support the local youth cycling team, the Seacoast Senders!
