Participate in NH DOT Intermodal Transportation Planning

ree

Every two years, NH DOT updates its 10-year plan. This effort is led by the Governor’s Advisory Committee on Intermodal Transportation (GACIT) and represents projects to be designed/funded/constructed in 2027 - 2036.

In the fall of odd years, the 10-year plan is brought to communities throughout the state to discuss projects in the plan and solicit feedback.

NH DOT is responsible for many of the connective arteries that move cyclists, pedestrians and motorists from town to town. There are a lot of great projects in the proposed plan. However, there is concern that construction funding for future phases of the East Coast Greenway from Hampton to Seabrook approved for 2025-2034 has been removed.

Below are the opportunities to participate in this process in the Seacoast region, where the public is encouraged to participate.

Details: Ten Year Plan | Department of Transportation

  • Sept 18 at 6 PM - Brentwood Recreation Dept

  • Oct 1 at 6 PM - Hampton Beach Sea Shell

  • Oct 22 at 5 PM - Greenland Central School

  • Oct 23 at 10 AM - Durham Town Office

  • Oct 23 at 1 PM - Dover City Council Chambers

  • Oct 23 at 4 PM - Rochester City Hall Auditorium

Please review projects in your communities and see if there are other changes SABR should

highlight.

A Week Without Driving

Did you know that nearly one-third of all people living in the U.S. cannot or choose not to drive?

How do they get around? What would you do if you somehow lost the ability to drive? It is in this

spirit that we prepare for another year of the Week Without Driving experience (9/29 – 10/5/25).

We encourage you to sign up as an individual via this link: Sign Up for 2025! | Week Without

Driving. Signing up doesn’t commit you to a week without driving, but rather a week to try to not

drive. If you do choose to drive during this period, ask yourself what someone without that
