SPIF is here for you! We work on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Port City Makerspace, and accept bicycle donations at that time.
We have several roles available, and are in special need of an outreach coordinator to help with bike distribution and pairing bikes with people and agencies. Detailed volunteer roles are listed here, and you can email us to sign up for an orientation.
At Papa Wheelies' Bike Swap April 18-19, we'll have select bikes for sale to support the SPIF program.

SABR Advocacy Efforts
Portsmouth to create a new Bicycle and Pedestrian Committee. Thanks to City Councilor Annie Hopkins and many community members, a new Blue Ribbon Committee is being created! They will work to advance the goals of the City's new Bike/Ped Plan and Complete Streets Policy. Want to get involved? Let us know!
Eliot, ME, Active Transportation news. Jeff Brubaker, Eliot's town planner, provided an update on the town's activities for our blog.
Dover is kicking off a review and update of the Transportation Chapter of its Master Plan (v. 2016). This is once-in-a-decade opportunity to influence the transportation vision for the city. Please reach out to see how you can get involved and speak up for active transportation.
Also, SABR thanks Strong Towns Seacoast for their efforts to shovel sections of the Dover Community Trail this winter!
NH Legislation. In February, a bill was proposed to put a $50 registration fee on bicycles. More than 14,000 people spoke out against it and the bill did not advance. To stay engaged in state-level bike advocacy visit our friends at the Bike-Walk Alliance of NH.
If you'd like to speak up for biking at the national level, take a look at this campaign from the League of American Bicyclists.
